I’m Mandy Patrick MBE. I provide independent business advisory and mentoring support to owners and managers across Northern Ireland who are navigating competing pressures, difficult choices, and the realities of running a business day to day.

My experience comes from a mix of hands-on work in hospitality through our family business, alongside roles across public and private organisations. I’ve also held non-executive positions in the third and public sectors, including time as a school governor. That combination has shaped how I think about responsibility, judgement, and how decisions land beyond the immediate moment.

People tend to come to me when things feel busy, unclear, or heavier than they should be. My role is to bring clarity and perspective, helping people slow things down, think matters through properly, and move forward with confidence they can stand over.

I prefer to meet people face to face whenever possible. It helps me understand what is really happening, not just what is being said.

I do not arrive with fixed ideas or ready made answers. I listen first, ask questions, and take time to understand the person and the situation in front of me.

Often, people come in with a clear idea of the problem they want to solve. Just as often, something else is sitting underneath it. Part of my role is to help surface that, calmly and without judgement, so we can focus on what actually matters.

Once the priority is clear, we agree practical next steps and move forward in a way that feels organised, realistic, and manageable. My style is steady and straightforward, grounded in lived experience rather than theory. No jargon, no drama, and no pretending that business is easy. It rarely is.

I work with owners and managers who are under pressure to make decisions, steady their business, or work through areas that have become difficult or unclear.

My work usually centres on a small number of connected issues, including:
